Biography


Tianqi Hong received his PhD in Biomedical Engineering in 2025. His research interests include the field of biophotonic microsystems, optofluidic imaging technology, and the development of point-of-care testing.

He is supported by a McMaster Faculty of Engineering Dean’s Doctoral Excellent Award, Smart Mobility for the Aging Population (sMAP) and the Collaborative Research and Training Experience (CREATE) program.
