Roy's academic interests include:

• Application of novel imaging optics to vision systems
• Fourier Optics for imaging & vision applications
• 3D reconstruction via multi-viewpoints or range finding modalities
• 3D graphics, image based rendering, virtual reality engines, 3D art modeling & animation,
• Adaptive signal processing, tracking & estimation algorithm design
• Biological cognitive science, artificial neural network algorithms & application
