Project Description

Timea will be using various specific molecular techniques to relocalize tumour - affected cells in order to determine what events take place during drug incubation (drug - photofrin). The uptake mechanisms, efficiency, distribution, and relocation of drugs will be observed and analyzed. With the help of a graduate student, she will determine whether the lifetime of the applied photosensitizer is a good quantitative method for photodynamic therapy, PDT, dosimetry. This technique represents the calculation of the absorbed dose in matter and tissue resulting from the exposure to indirectly and directly ionizing radiation. External Link
