-Kuntao Ye received the B.S. degree in solid state physics from the department of physics at Nankai University, Tianjin, China, where his research is mainly concentrated on the interaction between photons and solid state materials. In 1999, he obtained the M.S. in applied physics at East Carolina University, Greenville, NC, USA, where he did his research work in both a biophotonic and a bioacoustic lab. He received his Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati, OH, USA in 2006. His doctoral dissertation, “Investigation of a Method for Integration of Optical Nanprobes with CMOS Photodetection Circuitry,” is across the fields of MEMS fabrication, Image Sensor, Analog CMOS design and Nano-photonics. The investigation has made a contribution to Near-Field Scanning Optical Microscopy. Through his academic career, he published more than 10 academic papers in conference proceedings and journals. He also taught college physics and math classes in College of Mount Saint Joseph, Cincinnati, USA for one and half year. \\ +Kuntao Ye received the B.Sc. degree in solid state physics from the department of physics at Nankai University, Tianjin, China, where his research is mainly concentrated on the interaction between photons and solid state materials. At McMaster, Dr. Ye carried out his research in building a Laser Induced Time-resolved Fluoresces spectrum detection system. He later joined the [[http://www.intellisense.com|Intellisense Corporation]] as a Product Engineer since April, 2007, where he developed a spectrometer based on MEMS scanning mirror technology. Currently, Dr. Ye is the Chief Technology Officer of Intellisense Corporation (China).
