We have an immediate opening for a postdoctoral fellow with hands-on experiences in the following areas:

• Optical Imaging Instrumentation

• Major in Engineering, Sciences, Health Sciences, or Life Sciences
  
• Summer research: NSERC USRA, GPA >= A- (10/12, 3.5/4, or 80%)
  
• Work-Study: McMaster in-study students who qualifies for work-study/OSAP
  
• We usually start recruiting summer students in December and January.

Potential graduate students may have background in one or more of the following areas:

• Optics and physics
• Electronics and image/signal processing
• Biology, biochemistry w/ strong microscopy/tissue culture experiences
• Tissue optics, microscopy, and other biophotonics research
• Hands-on experiences in above areas, programming in Matlab, C/C++, Python, and/or LabView

PhD Position in optical imaging instrumentation and its biomedical applications (after Masters degree or direct entry from undergraduate)

We seek a graduate student with strong optics, physics, math, and/or engineering background. The research project involves developing instrumentation for imaging applications in biomedicine. Experiences and Knowledge in imaging acquisition, image processing, and related areas are desirable.
