  * Level 3 (Junior) or higher \\ 
  * Major in Engineering, Sciences, Health Sciences, or Life Sciences \\ 
  * Summer research: NSERC USRA, GPA >= A- (10/12, 3.5/4, or 80%) \\ 
  * Work-Study: McMaster in-study students who qualifies for work-study\\ 

===== Graduate Students =====

Potential graduate students may have background in one or more of the following areas: \\ 
  * Optics and physics
  * Electronics and image/signal processing
  * Biology, biochemistry w/ strong microscopy/tissue culture experiences
  * Tissue optics, microscopy, and other biophotonics research
  * Hands-on experiences in above areas, programming in Matlab, C/C++, and/or LabView
